Terms and Conditions

Our Terms and Conditions of Sale are concise and straightforward as set out below. They cover prices, ordering, payment and the dispatch of goods and services. They also describe how we protect your personal information and credit card details. The terms do not affect your statutory rights under English law.

According to the UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, buyers must see the terms and conditions of sale before ordering. You will be asked to acknowledge this before completing your order checkout.

The price is shown against each product or service. That price is valid for orders placed at the time the price is displayed on our website. All prices are shown and charged in GB pounds sterling.

The packing and shipping charge for an order is calculated according to the destination country and the total value of the ordered items, in a range of price bands, as follows:

  UK only:

up to and including

  £30.01 - £60.00

  £60.01 - £100.00

  £100.01 - £200.00

  Other destinations:

Please email us for a quotation.

The full itemised bill, including the shipping charge, is shown when you complete the order form details in your 'shopping cart', but before you are committed to purchasing.

Orders should be placed using the shopping cart and checkout system provided on this website. Provided you enter your email address correctly in the customer details form, you will receive an emailed confirmation of your order.  Alternatively, if you prefer to pay by cheque, simply email your order requirements to us and we will provide you with a pro-forma invoice, including appropriate delivery charges, by email.

Payments may be made by most credit card options using the PayPal secure server system. It is not necessary to have a PayPal account to use this facility, and we will never see your card details. Please do not send your credit card details by any method other than that provided, as we are unable to process the payments ourselves. If you do so, we will not be liable for any loss. If you consider your credit card number has been fraudulently used you should contact the issuing bank immediately.

Alternatively, if you prefer to pay by cheque, please email your order to us, following which we will send you a pro-forma invoice including the relevant delivery charges.

Dispatch of goods and services

Please note, all works are deemed to be printed 'on demand'. That is to say; each book is normally ordered and printed especially for each purchaser. However, whenever possible, we do try to keep a small quantity of titles in stock, so that they may be immediately available. We will advise you about this upon receipt of your order. Otherwise, delivery is subject to the printing time schedule, which, for soft-covers usually takes little more than a couple of weeks, whereas hard covers may take up to four weeks.

Goods destined for UK delivery from stock will be dispatched by Royal Mail or courier. Items printed 'on demand' may be despatched from a number of different countries where they are printed. These are usually despatched by local priority airmail services.

Responsibility for Local Taxes and Duties

You are responsible for payment of any Local Taxes and Import Duties levied in the country of the delivery address.

Quality of Goods and Services and Returns Procedures

Our aim is that all our customers will be completely satisfied with the goods that they buy from us. If you receive an item that is faulty in any way or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt with full details of the problem. We will let you know the address to which the item should be returned. When you have returned it, we will send a replacement or a refund of your payment, whichever you request. Please note that we can only refund goods that are returned in the condition in which they were received.

UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000

In law, you have a separate right of cancellation during a "cooling-off" period. If you wish to cancel for any reason other than those listed in the previous paragraph, you have seven clear working days to let us know. If you wish to cancel under this provision, please contact us. We will refund your payment upon our receipt in original condition of the item concerned. The seven days start when the goods are delivered to you. We will let you know the address to which the item should be returned. You must return the goods to us in adequate packaging at your own expense and take full care of the goods before returning them, as we will not be able to accept them if they are damaged in any way.

When we refund a credit card payment, the amount to be refunded will be credited to your credit card account via PayPal. NB PayPal issue a standard warning that 'Due to credit card policies, refunds to credit cards can take up to 30 days to appear on your statement.'  A cheque payment will be repaid by cheque.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that you provide us with lawfully (in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for two reasons only: firstly to process your order, and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. A copy of your order will be emailed automatically to you after you place it.

The type of information we may collect about you includes your name, postal and email addresses, and telephone number. Neither we nor our printers will pass on your email address or other contact details to anyone else.

We may occasionally use your email address to let you know about new publications. If you would prefer not to receive such emails, please let us know via email.

We do not have access to, or hold, your credit card details, nor can they be passed on to anyone else.

Retention of Title

All goods that you order remain our property until you have paid for them in full.
